4-H Projects

The University of California 4-H Youth Development Program engages youth in reaching their fullest potential and development.

Requirements to participate via Captain Vineyards 4-H:

  • Fill out the 4-H application with the $ 20.00 check made payable to Contra Costa County 4-H Council (ccc4-H Council).
  • A one time $ 35.00 check payable to  Captain Vineyards to cover materials, snacks, photo copies etc.
  • Fill out the annual 4-H Project Report at each meeting.
  • A hat, gloves that fit well and a good pair of hiking boots.
  • Attend our weekly meetings, if unable, let the teen leader know as soon as possible.
  • You are welcome to work on your section of “vineyard” off hours; however, you must let the teen leader or the project leader of the exact time you will be here. There must be an adult supervision at all times.
  • This project is limited to teens that are registered with the 4-H council.
  • Be positive and respectful of each other and the vines, the idea is to learn in an atmosphere where learning is Fun!
